Gold Hill Plant Farm

These postings will center around things that I encounter that are interesting, beautiful, and sometimes the spiritual connection between all these things. This blog is for myself, perhaps more than for you, the reader. It is to remind myself of the passage of time and reflect on the beauty and meaning of the days.

Golden Rod??

This looks suspiciously like golden rod to me but it was blooming in the Ding Darling Preserve. It looked so fresh and springy I had to snap a shot of it. In the process of the photography I got beggar lice all over my pants. But I guess it was worth it to me to remember just how pretty this common old weed is.
The second picture is a wild poinsettia growing in the same area.

About Me

Crystal
I have spent my whole life gardening in the heart of the deep, hot, humid south. Somewhere in the distant past, I received 2 degrees from the local land grant college and my ears are still atuned to matters of science. My children are grown and gone from home, but my days are just as full as when they were young. Only the responsibilities change.
