Baby Snapping Turtle

Dora (dog) found this baby in the same spot that she had found a copperhead about a month before. The copperhead, I understand, but what was a baby snapping turtle doing up beside my house?!
I kept it a few days, tossing it dirt daubers I had killed, and then it was released to its destiny in a local waterway.
These postings will center around things that I encounter that are interesting, beautiful, and sometimes the spiritual connection between all these things. This blog is for myself, perhaps more than for you, the reader. It is to remind myself of the passage of time and reflect on the beauty and meaning of the days.
